Hello everyone! Hope many of you had a wonderful summer. Plus to all the students, I hope you had a great start for this school year. Let’s kick off September on the right foot, shall we?
This Saturday, catch yours truly spinning the hottest music with two of Boston’s hottest DJs in the LGBTQ scene: Ms. Jackie the Mixtress and Ms. Lady J (aka JamilaAfrika). I make my return to the Milky Way (284 Amory Street, Jamaica Plain, MA) joining forces with these lovely, wonderful, and talented ladies on the 1s and 2s. Hosted by the one and only Jha D, you know this party is gonna be turnt up!
Hey guys! Hope you all had a wonderful July 4th weekend. I am posting up for an upcoming event for this Saturday, July 13th. My crew, the Audio Chemists, is holding their Summer Showcase to feature elite talent from the Boston area. The event will take place in the Paris Street Gallery in Everett, MA (101 Paris Street). Yours truly will be on the turntables providing the tunes from 8pm to 1am. Live performances include fellow Audio Chemists members Luck Money and Saucy Lady, as well as showcases from visual artists and fashion show provided by DREmatic Designs and Cecilia Ulibarri. More information about the event can be found thru the Facebook event invite and the Audio Chemists site via the links below:
This Saturday, I will be DJing the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) Conference at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge. GLSEN will cover workshops concerning LGBTQ students, helping them counter the common issues in LGBTQ discrimination, and build them a better and safer future. Featured guests include LGBTQ Advocate and Mentor David Wilson, as well as “Glee” cast member Alex Newell (who portrays “Wade ‘Unique’ Davis”).
This Saturday’s conference will have a total of 280-300 preregistered attendees and preregistration is already closed. For those interested in attending last minute, come thru early as possible, in case some seats are open due to those preregistered who cannot make it. Remember, seats are limited.
